Happy Cinco de Mayo!

As we celebrate this holiday today, I couldn't help but reflect on our amazing honeymoon to the Mayan Riviera. Our plan was to visit the resort again by our 5th anniversary...I guess since we're coming up on 3 years I will be making a trip back to Mexico very soon:) Below are a few pics from our trip...the resort was fabulous, the food incredible, the drinks a plenty, but the very best thing was celebrating that we were man & wife! I felt like the luckiest girl in the world and I am blessed that I feel even more so now. Hope everyone has fun celebrating!

Did you miss us?

I know you all have been having Hoekstra blog withdraws and for that I do apologize! I have been a major slacker!!! But, the good news is we're back and I am excited!!! I just started a blog for my new business (please visit:) http://gotogirlbham.blogspot.com, so it got my blog juices flowin'! Business is going well...I could definitely use more of it, but am thankful for the many friends and family members that have kept the go-to girl going! I am so grateful for this opportunity and to have such a loving, supportive husband as my #1 fan! I am one blessed gal and I thank the Lord every day!

Hello again

So...I have not held up my blogging duties very well. But, I feel it's time to start it back up! Unfortunately...and I guess fortunately too, there is not too much to report on the Hoekstra front. Justin and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary yesterday. It was a wonderful day. We had dinner at Gian Marco's, where we had our first "official" date, and then went up to Vulcan. There was a storm heading our way so we didn't do up to the observation deck, but did enjoy the beautiful view. Vulcan Park has always been a special place to Justin and I. We enjoyed reminising about our engagement photo shoot and seeing the brick that I donated in my parents' names. I can't believe it's been 2 years!!!! I feel so blessed to be married to my best friend.

Easter Weekend

We went to Atlanta to celebrate Easter and Justin's birthday with his folks...It just so happened it was the same weekend of the Braves home opener...what a coincidence! We had a great time seeing dear friends and enjoyed our stay and visit at the Hoekstra Hilton as always!

Justin's Birthday

We had a great time celebrating my hubby's 33rd birthday last weekend! It was filled with fun and surprises! I took him to a surprise dinner at The Club on Friday night, created a surprise scavenger hunt that we did during the day on Saturday, had a surprise Bowling Bonanza birthday gathering at our favorite Brunswick alley, and celebrated with my folks and grandfather on Sunday. It was jam packed but well worth it! What on earth am I going to do for him next year???? Thanks to all who helped make it special for him. I love you SMOA!!!

Hello Bloggin' World!

The time has come for us to join the cyber world of blogging! I have been wanting to start one for a while but thought unless you had a journalist's talent or were popping out babies, you weren't allowed!...well, I'm definitely no writer-there will be grammatical errors and typos galore! And although many of you wish it so, Justin and I are not expecting a stork's visit-sorry to disappoint! But, hopefully this will be a fun way to keep in touch with those family and friends who are far away and let you know what is going on in our lives!
